This mini-series consists of two films from the 2012 PBS series, "Designing Healthy Communities." http://designinghealthycommunities.org/ Hosted and narrated by Richard Jackson, MD, MPH, the films examine the link between our health and the way our communities — especially our suburbs — are designed. The films include inspiring American examples of communities choosing to change their built environments to make them less auto-dependent, healthier and more inviting. Short discussion follows each film. Snacks provided. FREE.

January 21, 2011 – End of Suburbia We’ll set the stage with this influential film, which shows how the American dream of suburbia has become unsustainable and gives an inkling of what might replace it.
